Assessing the effect of the farmers’ practices on the severity of groundnut rosette virus disease in Uganda
This study assessed the effect of farmers’ practices on the severity patterns of groundnut rosette virus disease (GRVD) in Uganda. A survey was conducted within five agro-ecological zones in Uganda to obtain information on the various practices that farmers use in the management of groundnut and GRVD in their fields.

Regeneration procedure for three Arachis hypogaea L. botanicals in Uganda through Embryogenesis
This study explored the use of mature embryo axes as explants for somatic embryogenesis and determined the factors that affect regeneration of three Ugandan groundnut cultivars: Acholi white (Valencia botanical), Serenut 4T (Spanish botanical), and Serenut 1R (Virginia botanical).

Genetic variability studies of Valencia groundnut varieties for late leaf spot (Phaeoisariopsis personata) resistance
The study was initiated to determine the genetic variability of late leaf spot (LLS) resistance among segregating generations of Valencia groundnut varieties. Crosses were made between NuMex-M3 × ICGV-SM 02501, Valencia C × ICGV-SM 02501, Redbeauty × ICGV-SM 03590 and Valencia C × SGV-07009 parental lines.

Identification of quantitative trait loci for yield and yield related traits of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) under different water regimes in Niger and Senegal
This study used a recombinant inbred line mapping population (TAG 24 × ICGV 86031) to identify markers associated with quantitative trait loci (QTLs) for yield and yield-related traits at two important locations in West Africa under well-watered and water stress conditions.

Assessing the genetic diversity of 48 groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) genotypes in the Guinea savanna agro-ecology of Ghana, using microsatellite-based markers
By demonstrating that SSR-based markers are discriminatory in discerning variations between and among groundnut lines even where the level of variation was low, this study suggests that microsatellite-based markers represent a useful tool for dissecting genetic variations in cultivated crops, especially groundnut.
